Energy Tours and Workshops

Wednesday June 15th, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Please note, the tours are intended to add value to the conference experience. There will be no additional charges, though pre-registration is required. Tours will only run with a minimum of 8 participants, and can only accommodate a maximum of 20 participants.

The tour buses will leave from the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre at 4:00p.m. following the final conference speaker. Participants will be dropped off at this same location following the tour, no later than 7:00 p.m.

Irving Oil Refinery and Canaport LNG terminal

Participants will be taken on a bus tour of the Irving Oil Refinery and the Canaport LNG import & regasification terminal, The bus will then head to the Canaport crude terminal followed by the the Irving Oil rail terminal and finished products export terminal at Courtenay Bay.

Experts will be on hand to provide a brief explanation of the key features of each installation, and to answer questions from tour participants.


Tour #2: Energy & Business

Corridor Resources and PotashCorp facillities near Sussex

Participants will be taken on a bus tour of the Corridor Resources and PotashCorp facilities near Sussex.  They will visit a producing natural gas well; the natural gas processing plant; and the exterior of the new potash mine at Penobsquis.

Experts will be on hand to provide a brief explanation of the key features of each installation and to answer questions. They will also provide information and discussion on the supply chain development opportunities experienced as these installations have been developed.
